November 18 /Immersive facade concept, with SoleSavy /Narrative: The Nike Waffle, a cornerstone in Nike and sneaker history, is leveraged to establish a point of departure from physical space into a limitless digital realm superimposed through video projections. The objective is to leap from an artifact that historically has set a foundation for sneakers as a whole into a digital realm of opportunity. /Process: The technical goal is to build a structure out of plaster waffle soles and project dynamic movements and visuals onto them to create an immersive spatial experience /Learning: Testing in a single-plane environment at the Solesavy event gave us insight into the limitations of rigging a structure with a plaster set mold. It involves researching and analyzing still images to synthesize segments of their works, which are unified through the influence of sound. Sound acts as the connecting thread, interacting with various visual aesthetics to illustrate how different works contribute to a unified narrative.
